Bioethicist's comprehensive interview on ethics and the danger of euthanasia

Dr Bernadette Tobin was interviewed recently on Australia's Radio National about euthanasia. Tobin's interview followed upon interviews of two pro-euthanasia advocates (mentioned occasionally throughout this broadcast).

Dr Tobin

Bernadette Tobin MA (Melb) MEd (Melb) PhD (Cantab) is the Director of the Plunkett Centre for ethics. Bernadette is also a Reader in Philosophy, Australian Catholic University.

Mrs Tobin makes it perfectly clear that she comes from a religious background in her professional work. Nevertheless, her arguments are clear and accessible to anyone, religious or not.

Mrs Tobin explains in detail what good palliative care looks like and argues the case thoroughly that legalising euthanasia is not safe.

I recommend that everyone thinking of euthanasia take the time to listen to Dr Tobin's discussing this matter with ABC broadcaster, David Rutledge on the Encounter program.
